Skiing
Here are some pictures from Cheryl and my ski trip to the Zugspitz in Garmisch. It was absolutely beautiful there, plus, the skiing was pretty good. It was really the first ski week of the season in Garmisch as they received snow the day we arrived down there. I had some good runs and of course, I had some really bad runs...but, overall, it was a great trip and I look forward to possibly trying to do it again (if we can get babysitters). Back to Kerry or Travel or Garmisch.

Here's me on top of the Zugspitz drinking of Diet Mountain Dew. This was after the skiing was complete, it was actually a really warm day on top of the Zugspitz (probably in the high 20s, but, it seemed hotter at nearly 3,000 meters above sea level). |

Here's Cheryl waiting to board the cable car to go skiing. She was really sore after our first day of skiing and discovered on Friday, that the lodge had really good hot chocolate.

Here's Cheryl in the cable car on the way home. Again, she was really sore, but had a great time and we met some really great people. Overall, she had a lot of fun, too.

Kerry on skis. I really enjoyed skiing. It was a new physical challenge for me and I had to forget a lot of the things that I had envisioned skiers doing (that's what caused most of my crashes).

We had a great ski instructor from New York, who Edelweiss hired for the winter. He taught us a lot of useful information (like the easiest way to get up after falling) and allowed me to ski like I've done it before. |
